Most academics begin the semester with good intentions.

The article.

The book chapter.

The revise-and-resubmit.

The dissertation.

Then the semester begins.

Teaching expands.

Meetings multiply.

Students need support.

Life happens.

Writing becomes the thing you'll "get to next week."

The Fall Writing Studio was created to make sure next week actually comes.

The Outcome

By the end of six weeks, you will have:

✓ A protected writing rhythm

✓ Dedicated time for your most important project

✓ A supportive scholarly community

✓ Greater clarity and confidence

✓ Meaningful movement on work that matters

✓ Momentum you can carry into the rest of the semester

The Fall Writing Studio is a space designed to change the conditions that make writing feel so difficult in the first place.

Not through urgency. Not through pressure.

But through structure, support, sustained community, and steady presence—so your writing can actually move again.

This is for you if you are:
  • sitting with a draft that isn’t moving
  • working on a dissertation, article, or book chapter
  • navigating a revise & resubmit
  • feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from your writing
  • craving structure, support, and community—but not pressure

This is for you if:

  • You started the semester with writing goals that already feel at risk.
  • You don't want another semester to pass without meaningful progress.
  • You need accountability that feels supportive rather than punitive.
  • You have a draft that isn’t moving but needs to
  • You’re working on an article, dissertation, or book chapter
  • You’re tired of writing alone and thrive in community
  • You need structure and space to think
  • You don't need to share your work with others -you need a supportive container where you can meet your writing goal
  • You know you have psychological blocks and need to get unstuck
