Academic writing advice loves the small chunk. Write for 15 minutes.
Write for 30 minutes every morning.
Squeeze it in before your next meeting. Don't write on the weekend.
And for some writers, that works beautifully.
For others? It doesn’t.
If you tend to gain momentum once you’re inside a project—and hate having to stop just when things start moving—perhaps you don’t need another productivity system.
Perhaps you need a different way of writing.
We begin by creating a clear, realistic intention for the weekend. Then we write. Long blocks. Minimal interruption. Plenty of room. By Friday evening, you aren’t preparing to write anymore.
You’re in it.
Our biggest writing day. Extended writing blocks, optional Writing Clinic (if you hit a wall, you have a full hour with me to problem solve), and time to go deeper with your argument, structure, or next chapter.
More protected writing time, followed by a closing gathering to reflect on what moved, what became clearer, what needs some TLC, and how to carry the momentum moving forward. You'll leave feeling accomplished.
