GHOSTWRITING
for non-academics

writer, technical editor, and thought partner for your passion project(s).

As a developmental editor and ghostwriter, my mission is to convey your message and story through compelling writing—meeting you exactly where you are, free of judgment, with only support. I believe in creating a partnership that honors your story and values.

At the heart of my ghostwriting practice is a deep commitment to honoring your unique voice and vision. The thought of writing can feel overwhelming, especially when trying to capture the essence of your story or message. That’s why I approach ghostwriting with compassion—creating a space where your ideas are valued, your vulnerabilities are held with care, and your goals are at the center of everything we do.

Let me bring your story to life.

the GHOSTWRITING PROCESS

01. The Discovery Call

Your story and your voice matter. My role as a ghostwriter is not to speak for you but to speak with you, capturing the words and emotions you might struggle to put on paper. Together, we’ll ensure the final product reflects your authentic self—a transformative book that will resonate with your truth, your experiences, and your values. So, let’s start the process by simply talking through your vision. Schedule a free consultation call where we’ll discuss the process from there.

02. The Work

Based on our conversation during the discovery call, I will put together a custom proposal for you and then we’ll get to work. Generally, the ghostwriting process consists of three stages over a 6–12-month period:
  1. The Background: Research and interviews
  2. Planning: Outlining and chapter summaries
  3. The Final Product: Book drafts culminating in a final draft

Our collaboration is rooted in trust and mutual understanding. I am truly honored when clients entrust me with the privilege of helping to tell their story—an opportunity that holds immeasurable value.

GHOSTWRITING

Ghostwriting is not just about delivering words —

it’s about empowerment.

I’ll help you break through the barriers that keep you from telling your story.

I view the ghostwriting process as a collaborative journey where my clients can process, narrate, and heal through storytelling.

I serve as the conduit to bring your story to life. Writing, for me, has always been a deeply cathartic and empowering way to foster self-understanding and inspiration. Nothing brings me greater joy than amplifying my clients' voices and sharing their unique narratives with the world.

As a professor, I have consistently intertwined the autobiographical with the academic—a rare practice in the ivory tower. However, I’ve always known the transformative power of storytelling. With two published books and over two dozen academic articles and chapters to my name, I bring both depth and experience to the craft of writing.

Let me help you craft a story that not only speaks to others but also resonates deeply within yourself.

Frequently asked questions

What is ghostwriting?

Ghostwriting is the process where a professional writer helps you write your book, article, or other content, often without being credited. As your ghostwriter, I’ll work closely with you to capture your ideas, voice, and vision, ensuring the final product feels authentically yours.

How involved do I need to be in the process?

The level of your involvement is entirely up to you. Some clients prefer to be heavily involved, providing input on every aspect, while others prefer to take a more hands-off approach. We will discuss your preferences during the initial consultation.

Will the writing sound like me?

Absolutely! My goal is to capture your unique voice and style. We’ll work closely together to ensure the content reflects your personal tone and vision. Through conversations, notes, and drafts, I’ll fine-tune the work, so it feels like you wrote it yourself.

Who owns the rights to the book or content?

As the client, you retain full ownership and rights to the work. My role as a ghostwriter is to help you bring your story to life, but you will be credited as the author.

How long does it take to complete a ghostwriting project?

The timeline for a ghostwriting project depends on its scope and complexity. A book can take anywhere from six months to over a year to complete. We’ll establish a timeline that works for both of us and ensures a high-quality final product.

What if I don’t like the draft?

Collaboration is key to the ghostwriting process. We’ll have regular check-ins to ensure that the work is progressing in a way that aligns with your vision. If you’re not satisfied with a draft, we’ll revise it together until it meets your expectations.

How much does ghostwriting cost?

The cost of ghostwriting varies based on the length and complexity of the project. During our initial consultation, I’ll assess your needs and provide a detailed proposal outlining the cost and payment schedule.

How do we communicate throughout the process?

We can communicate through regular Zoom calls, phone conversations, or email, depending on your preferences. Clear, consistent communication ensures the project stays on track and meets your expectations. Oftentimes, I also meet with you in person at the location of your choice for a time period that makes the most sense.

Do you work with both fiction and non-fiction projects?

I currently only work with non-fiction projects.

Let’s bring your story to life and share it with the world.

My goal is to help you share your message confidently and effectively, knowing that it’s a true expression of who you are and what you stand for.
