Healing the Writing Wound
A writing wound is the shame, fear, or self-doubt rooted in harmful writing experiences —
especially in academia.
Healing the Writing Wound is a 12-week, trauma-informed writing reclamation program designed for academics who are ready to transform their relationship to writing — and to themselves as writers.
This is not a writing productivity bootcamp. It’s a space of healing, reflection, and reclamation. Grounded in my signature ANCHOR Writing Framework, this program helps participants move from writing in fear, shame, or silence to writing from truth, power, and vulnerability.
Together, we journey through weekly live sessions, small-group co-writing, individual coaching, and intentional reflection — all designed to honor the emotional and systemic wounds many of us carry as scholars. Each phase of the program aligns with one stage of the ANCHOR Framework: You will Acknowledge & Name Your Block, Nurture Your Ideas and Self, Create a Plan, Harness Momentum, Overcome Perfectionism, and Reflect & Revise.
Throughout the 12 weeks, you’ll write consistently, engage deeply with others in a small cohort, and reconstruct your writing identity from the inside out. The space is trauma-informed, high-touch, and intentionally small — capped at just 12 participants to ensure depth, safety, and connection.
Whether your writing wounds began in graduate school, childhood, or somewhere in between, this program offers you the space to pause, process, and finally write as your full self.
Weekly Live Community Sessions:
Mondays, 11am-12:30pm CST/CDT
By the end of this 12-week journey, you will:
✓Understand the roots of your writing wounds — and learn how to write through them with courage and clarity
✓Reclaim your authentic academic voice without hiding, shrinking, or censoring yourself
✓Learn and practice a trauma-informed writing process guided by the ANCHOR Framework
✓Develop a more compassionate, sustainable writing rhythm — one rooted in power and presence, not performance
✓Create and share writing that feels true to who you are — and experience the freedom that comes with that
✓Leave with a renewed sense of confidence, clarity, and connection — to your words, your purpose, and your story
This program is for scholars who are ready to do more than write.
It’s for those who are ready to heal, reclaim, and rise — one word at a time.
